In 1977, Catherine Painvin revolutionises children’s fashion and breathes new life into traditional toddler hues with a pink and sky blue stripes signature line: chic, modern, top rate clothing Made in France.
She creates a new fashion world: prams and strollers, bedroom interiors and accessories, jewellery, schoolbags, shoes, hats, hundreds of soft toys, dolls dressed as little girls and, above all, PTISENBON: easy to recognise, safely nested in its plush hedgehog cover, the very first alcohol-free Eau de Toilette has been a worldwide success ever since its launch.
Over the years, Catherine has crafted so many products that it seems impossible to quantify the magnitude of her creation. Her products are available from Tartine et Chocolat stores in Europe, Japan, Korea, the USA, from over 1500 perfumeries and as many exclusive children’s clothing stores.
The extent of Catherine’s catalogue, however, is nothing compared to the creative satisfaction her enterprise brought her from the onset. She eventually teams up with her own daughters Caroline and Emmanuelle and never loses sight of her brand’s driving purpose: the happiness of babies and their parents.
